Premonition-like Dreams

Hi Mommies!

Throughout my life, i have had many "premonition-like" dreams. When I was 16 I had a peaceful dream of my grandma tucking me into bed and saying goodbye, I woke up abruptly (around 3AM) because at the time my grandmother was in the hospital. Several minutes after I woke up, we received a call from the hospital informing us that my grandmother had passed. I was extremely sad, but the dream was very comforting to me.

When I was 5 weeks pregnant and had no idea that i was pregnant, i had a vivid dream of feeling my chest very full and heavy and breast feeding two infants and as they breastfed i physically felt relief in my chest but then i had a pulling cramping sensation in my uterus that woke me up. 3 days later, my husband said i was being intolerably moody and asked that i take a home pregnancy test and to my surprise, i was pregnant! i made a doctors appointment the following week and the estimated that i was 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant.

Yesterday, i was taking a nap and i could have sworn in my dream that i felt a very real sensation of my baby moving around in my uterus and stretching his/her arms and legs. I am only about 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant (based on the first day of my last period) so i know i could not possibly feel anything so early. my NIPT test is this wednesday and i have been internally concerned about it and hoping that everything is fine with baby. I am hoping this dream is a sign that everything will be fine and i will get to feel my baby move soon!

Is there anyone out there that has had similar dream experiences either pre-pregnancy or during pregnancy? I am curious if it is really possible to have premonitions in your dreams.

That is really neat! I love stories like that! I haven't had dreams like that this time around, but I did with my first two and I recall it being a beautiful experience. My mom also had dreams with me that turned out to come true!

Very cool! I have not had any dreams like this, but a woman at work who is like a mother to me did. She kept telling me to take a pregnancy test because she "had a feeling" I was pregnant. Then I finally told her I was and she said she already knew, and to expect a boy! It will be interesting to see if she was right!

My mom had a dream that I was born with only 4 toes on each foot. When I was born my pinky toes were tucked my others so it looked like I had only 4 haha. I had lots of dreams this pregnancy. One recently was I was getting an ultrasound done and swore I saw two babies but the Dr /nurse wouldn't say there was two. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks at my appointment haha

I'm only 11 weeks but I too last night woke up all of the sudden because I could of sworn I felt the baby move inside me... Now I know as well that you can't feel anything this early but it didn't feel like a kick or anything and I could of just dreamed it but it felt so real that it woke me up and I'd never felt anything like it before.

It's not impossible, I felt my first flutters during week 9! This is my third

I have only had dreams about gender, but so far I'm 2 for 2

I keep having dreams that I'm having girl #3, so we'll see!

You aren't alone! And luckily neither and I! I just posted on another thread about my first baby dream: it was actually about 5 years ago, I dreamt we would conceive in Dec (yr unknown), it'd be a girl, and I'd go into labor Sept. 19th. So far only the first part is true, we won't know the sex for 7ish more weeks, and I'm due Sept 14th, so we'll see!

I also had a dream a week and half ago about my aunt who passed away 2 years ago. I am so nervous about telling ppl, I don't want to miscarry and then have to break the news to a bunch of ppl. So in my dream I was sitting with my hubby, parents, sister, and aunt and told them they can't tell anyone until I'm out of the first trimester, that I would tell my aunts and uncles then and then I turned to my aunt and said " of you'll know aunt Denise, but please don't say anything" and my mom asked me who I was talking to and I said, "aunt Denise" and pointed right at my aunt who was sitting right next me. My mom said "Aunt Denise passed away 2 years ago". Then my aunt put her hand on me and said " honey you're the only one who can see me. Everything is going to be OK".
I woke up crying :-/ I took that as a sign that my aunt is watching over me and this baby

I hope my pregnancy dreams aren't premonitions because if they are, my baby is going to grow up to be a murderous Jack Nicholson from The Shining. Haha

Before I got pregnant though, I had a random dream about a guy I went to high school with. It was totally weird because we aren't even facebook friends and I haven't talked to him in 9 years. The next day I took my cat to the vet and my new veterinarian's last name was the same as his. Turns out she was his wife!!! Gave me goosebumps!

The night before I took the positive pregnancy test I had a dream that I was giving birth to a baby boy! I suddenly woke up and thought to myself "oh my god, I'm totally pregnant" and fell back to sleep haha remembered I had that dream the next day and decided to take a test and BOOM! We find out the sex on Monday!!

I had a dream that I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl before I knew I was pregnant. I was struggling trying to figure out how to breastfeed. I hope my dream is true I really want a baby girl but my spouse wants a boy. We will see. Either way we are both beyond excited ♡♡♡

I agree! I felt baby move yesterday for the diet time and I'm 11 +1, I think if you've already had a baby you know what's wind and what's baby.

I love these dream stories ladies. Mine are all about my dad and ex partners!!
