Have I lost my mind? Girls name

DH and I are having the hardest time coming up with a name for DD3. We settled on Clare for a middle name (Dhs gram), and I became smitten with Evangeline Clare. But I'm hung up on that rhyming with DD2 (Selene.)

DH loves Brennan for a girl (a family last name that we saw in the family gravesite in Ireland.) but that gets a big veto for a girl from me.

Then he suggested Bria, which I told him was made for up.

In scouring Btn.com last night I came across Cambria. Which means he could get Bria/Bree as a Nn.

Interestingly my grandma was born and lived her whole life in Cambria County. Dhs gram was named for County Clare after her mother came to America from Ireland.

So, is Cambria Clare too out there?

DDs are Ainsley Jade and Selene Elizabeth.

I like evangaline. I also love Brennan. I knew a girl growing up named that, and I have always liked it. Cambria is nms, but not bad

I like Cambria and the idea of calling her Bria! I like that you can associate the name with something about your family!

I know somebody named Bria but that is her full name. I think if Cambria is personal to your family then there is nothing wrong with the name. I don't think it is too out there and if she is called Bria, not many will call her Cambria. Go for it if you like it.

I love Evangeline but not with Selene. I'd say go with Cambria. I know a little Cambria who is named after the band. She's adorable and they call her by her full name or sometimes by Cam. It isn't too out there, go for it! Especially with the cute back story.

Another vote for Cambria, nn Bria. It's not my style but I love the personal connection and story you have with this name. I also feel that it fits with your sib set.

I really don't like Evangeline. It's getting really popular too. I've seen it on thread after thread and feel like, even though it is a legit name on BTN with history and meaning... it's trying too hard.

ETA, I don't like Brennan on a girl. It's masculine. However, I do like Brenna!

I would choose Evangeline before Cambria but I think they are both nice. Agree with you about no for Brennan. That is my ss's name.

I don't love Cambria but I like Bria or even Cam as nns. Also the rhyming of Evangeline and Selene doesn't bother me because you have a third daughter to break it up in any situation where you'd need to have all three names said at once (like signing a birthday card) you could always say Selene, Ainsley and Evangeline. Or use whatever nn you end up using. The rhyming thing is nbd and I don't think should be the reason not to use the name if you love it.
