Rib pain .. sore ribs

What can help my sore ribs ? I'm in so much pain

Re: Rib pain .. sore ribs

  • I wish I had advice for both of us! Mine are killing me! I try not to slouch because that hurts worse...maybe it will feel better once the babies flip head down?? I can only hope
  • Loading the player...
  • It hurts every time I move ): I want it to go away
  • I've had the pain since around week 10 because my boobs grew so fast and so big. Now the babies getting bigger and that's just making it worse. I've been doing prenatal massage since around 12 weeks and I'm seeing a physical therapist once a week too now. Forget trying to wear a bra!
  • Ugh my ribs are killing me too. They also did with my DD, my first.

I have no answer. If I did, they wouldn't be hurting like this on round #2. Just here to commiserate. :-(
  • I had horrible rib pain with my DS. I'm pretty sure he bruised my ribs. I thought he had actually broken them it hurt so bad but my husband is a physical therapist and assured me nothing was broken. So far this little girl has been pretty good to me.

I put ice on my ribs and a heating pad down near my pelvis to try to encourage him to get the heck away from my ribs. Tylenol too. Hope you feel better!

I don't know if it's just in my mind but the past week after baby girl finally flipped head down I feel like I've got more relief from some of the awful pains I was having. Tylenol is safe for pregnancy but doesn't seem to help me any. Heating pads are good to me though. I mean they're no magical healing pad but I feel like they help a little. Maybe they'd help you to? :) laying down on my side (whichever one isn't bugging me) also seems to help too.
  • Switching positions sometimes helps, definitely not wearing a real bra. I found a lounge bra I love that has soft cups with a slight lift no underwire. Swimming seems to relieve the pain too.. For me anyways.
  • I've been experiencing the rib pain myself and if someone rubs my back in the center for like 2-3 minutes, it relieves the pain... Hope it helps you:)
  • I'm excited to try the back rub! Anything to relieve the pain! Swimming is a great option too, but I don't know how to find the time!
  • Mine is out of control.  So I'm doing prenatal yoga when I can, stretches throughout the day, heating pad, changing positions, and I even tried the chiropractor.  With all that I unfortunately still don't have much relief :(  I'm just counting the days down until May at this point to get some relief
