What's going on today?

Re: Daily Symptoms/No Symptoms Sun 3/8

  • What's going on is I never sleep...... And I know this is normal but Frick.
  • Loading the player...
  • Exhaustion is back. Day light savings always messes with me a little, too.

Swollen ankles and legs. I look like Fred Flintstone! (Grrrrr...)
  • I'm with you all on the not sleeping thing! But that was the norm even before I was pregnant. It is helping me get reports done for work though! I need to have a bright side to this...
  • After three sweet weeks of no pain thanks to my chiropractor my SPD pain is back :( probably because I took apart the daybed in the nursery and put it all in storage by myself. Dumb!

That may not have been the best idea, but also remember that your body is making lots of hormones to loosen your joints, which means corrections won't last as long as you'd expect. At least that's what my chiro told me! Maybe it's just a ploy to keep me coming back ;).
  • @MrsWiggleWaggle yeah really thanks for saying that I'll never sleep again...... It really helps and is SUPER empathetic!
  • Frequent trips to the bathroom and hip pain continue to be my main complaints. The good thing is baby is still super active - she's always kicking! I love it! Except when she kicks my bladder...

  • Really sick no voice and baby isn't really that active since I haven't been feeling well she's usually kicking and punching up a storm in there but I know she's alright cause she's lightly tapping me lol
  • Good gods, I'm always talking about tired I am. I'm tired of hearing myself complain about being tired, its my recurring theme on the symptoms boards, but damnit! I'm effing tired!
Oh, and last night at work I burned myself, and cut myself. Hooray, paths to possible infections. :|

  • It's the 8th, right? I'm so tired. Back pain. Holy back pain, I'm not even getting relief in sleep anymore.

  • Had a horrible time trying to sleep last night! First I had what can only be described as a hot flash that caused me to kick off all of the blankets and strip out of my PJs, then I got cold but lucky for me DH stole allllll of the blankets...now, after taking worlds most satanically cold shower, I'm in an awful mood and feel incredibly body conscious. Today was supposed to be fun and now I'm thinking I might just want to stay home and mope.

  • I can fall asleep, usually I'm out by 10 but I cannot seem to STAY asleep. 2-3 am wide awake and then exhausted all day.

    I fixed the date... Thanks!

Speaking of pregnancy brain, I work for a consulting firm and so people from other offices pop up in ours frequently. On Friday I asked a consultant what brought him to our office - but he actually works in our office. Of 35 people. I was immediately like "PLEASE forget I said that. I'm not a terrible coworker no-sirree-bob!"

  • Holy heartburn! Tums doesn't always work so I just deal with it.
Not sure if this will help anyone but I told the midwife I was having trouble staying asleep & she said to eat protein (peanut butter or an egg) before bed. Most women have trouble staying asleep because we're hungry so protein levels us off so we can sleep. I usually have PB & it has helped me. Good luck!!
  • Today I realized that the ladies on this board were not joking about the term "lightning crotch" hahahha. .... I never felt that sensation with DS but today I got a little taste of what's to come... Yikes!
  • Indigestion is horrible today! I don't really have heart burn but just a lot of pressure and feeling like it takes forever for my food to go down. Hands have also been a bit tingly-I've noticed this is worse when I'm less active. I took a short nap today and baby kicked so hard it actually woke me up. That was a first for me!

I read this too fast and thought you said PB on an egg! Haha.

  • I actually had some energy today! Got so much done in spite if back pain & some nause (1/2 a zofran kept me from getting too sick). And I've been icing my back lots which helps. Even took a 10 min walk & the weather was beautiful, sun was out & in the 50's! It's been so cold here so this was a nice change of pace. I hear you on the heartburn. I had to start a rx a week ago (was previously on it prior to pregnancy). It's helping some too. Moving in two weeks so just so happy I could get some things done thus weekend.
