Red Raspberry Leaf Tea

I just started drinking mine today! Who else is drinking the tea in hopes of all these great benefits? Anyone used it in a prior pregnancy and want to share their experience? I figure I'll try anything in hopes of having an easier labor!

Why Pregnant Women Should Drink Red Raspberry Leaf Tea:

  • Relieves nausea
  • Tones the uterus, which makes contractions more effective thus making labor easier and potentially less painful. (note: it will not induce labor. It only makes labor more effective once it has already begun)
  • Increases milk supply
  • Helps bring the uterus back to it’s usual size after delivery
  • Less post-partum bleeding and can help prevent hemorrhage

Re: Red Raspberry Leaf Tea

  • I just asked my doctor about it today. She suggested I start it at 36 weeks. How's it taste?

I started in month 7. It tastes delicious!
  • I started with the Third Trimester Tea by Earth Mama Angel Baby, so it has some other stuff in it besides Red Raspberry Leaf. But it tastes quite good! I didn't add anything to it at all! My friend is giving me the rest of her plain Red Raspberry Leaf she has leftover so Ill have to see if it tastes much different!

  • I took the supplment during the first tri for neusea and could tell when I missed a day. My mom swears by it.
  • I have drank it during all 3 of my pregnancies. I also use it to help menstral cramps. It even tastes good as an iced tea. I swear by this stuff.

I wish I would have known about it sooner, I had terrible nausea!

  • I will start drinking it at 37 weeks. I am convinced it's what helped me go into labor last time around. I think it tastes great!

What brand are you ladies using? The brand from my grocery store has other ingredients like apple and hibiscus. I can't find 100% red raspberry.
  • This is why I love these forums.. I've never heard of this sounds worth investing in
  • @gflan425 this may sound stupid, but how do you make it as an iced tea? I would love to try making it that way. I didn't find out about this till I was 38 weeks with my first and I loved the taste. Thought about starting at 32wks with this one. How soon did you start?
  • I was told to not start drinking it until week 37 since it could help jumpstart labor. Is this true? Anyone else have any experience drinking at week 30? I have pregnancy tea and the first ingredient is red raspberry leaf. I need this baby to stay put for a few more weeks, but I'm open to trying it!
  • @breemarie808 I will probably wait until 37 weeks since I'm convinced it helped kick start labor last time but I'm not sure that you have to wait. It's great for cramps and other lady pains so it might be nice to start drinking now.

It will not jumpstart labor. It will make your uterus "ripe and ready" for when you DO go into labor. I've been drinking it 2x a day since 27w.
  • Make sure it's red raspberry leaf not red raspberry - not the same thing! I've been drinking it all third tri. It does give me some belly tightness but nothing concerning. I figure it's doing it's job.

I just ordered some today! I heard the benefits are awesome and to drink a minimum of 2 cups a day once you are at week 32 and on (looks safe to start sooner too but check with your doc to make sure). The one I ordered is below (it's 100% raspberry leaf tea, organic and it got good reviews for taste and how it works):

Also I found out that you can get 10% your order off using promo code MARCHTEN at checkout.
