TTC after 35

Back after a 2 month break...

Hi all -
I guess you can call this a sort of re-intro, since I haven't been on here in a while due to being on the bench with some MFI issues.  We've been trying for a year now, went through one failed IUI and discovered MFI.  My DH had a procedure to remove a block from his ejaculatory duct which resulted in some complications.  It's been a month and his latest SA showed that he has tons of sperm but almost zero motility.  My RE would like to move forward with IVF and of course i'm nervous about making such a huge decision. Jumping back into the boards so I don't feel so alone during this journey. My DH is so upset because of course he feels it's his fault and I keep trying to reassure him that their is nothing he can do and at least we have the option of IVF.  Thanks for listening!

  • Welcome back! Sorry you're struggling with all of this. I don't know much about IVF but it seems like a lot of women on here have lots of knowledge and experience. Also, I've heard that maca (a natural supplement) helps with men's hormones and increasing sperm quality, etc. Not sure how effective it is, but I've read some couples have had positive results from it. Good luck!
