DH and I were so pumped about our anatomy scan today and learning if we've got a little miss or mister. Though we're thrilled to learn everything checked out as normal, the tech was unable to identify gender. She said the umbilical cord was in the way (in between our velociraptor's legs), and at the very end she said "well, if I can't see anything, I'm going to go with girl." That said, she didn't give us a picture or make a note of the gender in the notes to the doctor. My OB also apologized and said they can't determine it. The office doesn't do elective ultrasounds, so we may be visiting a private 3D place soon. I just can't wait until week 30 to know! I'd like to be buying, registering, and decorating whether it's pink or blue! Gender neutral drives me crazy.
Any similar experiences? Did it end up being a little girl or boy? If it wasn't definitive, should I assume it's a little miss?
Re: Anatomy Scan @ 21 Weeks - No Gender
Ugh. @camilleashleyyy that sounds awful! I'd be furious. I'll definitely be checking out some other area options.
I am personally team green though for this pregnancy (FTM). :P Our nursery theme works for both genders so I'm totally fine with waiting.
Excited for a 3D, though!
Definitely don't assume girl off a guess! I think going to a 3d place sounds like a great idea.
