To buy furniture? I am 19 weeks. I am thinking of buying my set this weekend because it is on clearance and the sale makes it pretty affordable. Aside from this one, I haven't been able to find many sets that fit my long list of needs/wants.
Air on the side of loving it and go ahead. dH just suggested not setting up the room as you will for baby so you still have something to do when "nesting". If the worst was to happen (heaven forbid) you can resell.
I mentally have everything picked out. And have been 'nesting' since I found out. All I want to do is clean, and purge, and paint (ie. have someone else paint). The only reason I'm holding out is because our house is small and we have some reconfiguring to do! If you have the space go for it.
Go for it! Only reason I'm holding off on things is because I want to wait till we know the sex (which is hopefully thursday) and because moving niece into the bigger room is becoming a hassle (she has been peeing on her rug and told her she can't have the big room until she stops. Bad enough we have to replace 1 carpet, not doing 2). But once she's relocated and new carpet is in, all bets are off!
Eh, if you have the money go for it. I find unexpected (and expected) baby expenses start piling up around the time the baby is born. Getting some of it out of the way now if you can afford it is probably not a bad thing.
We've been getting the room ready since we found out at four weeks! But we had to redo the electrical and thag turned into a whole house project! But next are new windows, paint and carpet!
