Due June 17th and I am not making any absolute decisions. I am going to keep an open mind and am trying to prepare to roll with it. If I don't feel the need for an epidural, then I won't get one, but if it hurts like hell, I'll get one.

  • Do you have specific questions regarding an epidural?

  • Thank you this helps alot!!
  • I only ask who is due June 20th because I'm curious to know how many moms to be have the same due date... Anyone can reply..All helps!!☺️
  • I'm due June 16th. The 20th was my first due date then it changed. I never got a epidual before. I got to the hospital too late while I was having my son. It hurt but nothing us strong ladies can't handle.I'm scared of the epidural to be honest I can't imagine being numb. Or any other risk there are with getting that shot in the spine scares me. I may have to go natural again.
  • This will be my second home birth and third birth all together.  No epi for me.  If it's something you want to do because of convictions you will need to go in late to the hospital and be prepared for pain.  I can say from my experience that the really bad pain only lasted through transition.  Maybe an hour or an hour and a half.  I was in a tub.  Also grow in knowledge and read birth stories of moms going natural.  It really helps.  If you do it once the second time should be better... At least that's what I'm hoping for. :) Best wishes and good luck if you do go epi free.
