Trying to Get Pregnant

Unsure of these cramps

I am not sure if I have ovulated or not as I am not charting, however I am on day 21 in my cycle. This morning while laying in bed watching tv , I started to have some dull cramping on my left side lasted about 20 minutes. I'm just wondering if anyone would know if this would be more of an ovulation cramp or an implication cramp. Just looking for some friendly advice because I am new at this only my first cycle TTC.

Definitely over analyzing!  It happens to all of us when we get wrapped up in TTC.  I was pregnant last in 2011 and I still get phantom kicks, but it's just gas and things like that.  I just never noticed before.  No way to tell if you ovulated or had implantation by what you feel, just have to wait and see!

  • Just an update if anyone cares, the cramps came back and continued for the rest of the day, ranging from sharp to dull through. It got much worst after doing the deed with the DH. Currently this morning I haven't felt anything my DH says if it comes back and last all day today I should go ahead and call the Dr. Like I said before the pain is only on my lower left side. Never had this before, I don't even cramp when I have AF. So this is really unusual for me.
  • Maybe get checked for a cyst?
  • This is an actual question. Do you have regular bowel movements? I ask because the bowel is located in the same area and can cause significant cramping and discomfort at times.

Is the cramping so bad that you cant go about your regular business? If so, call the dr. If not, sounds like nothing to be concerned about.

  • As a PP had mentioned, perhaps it might be a cyst. My experience with cysts is similar to the one you're describing. Of course, there is no way for anyone here to tell what you're experiencing exactly, but it sounds like you might be experiencing some pain that is more than recognizable, which might be a concern. I've been TTC for 2 years and as you'll read in other posts, I've been very aware of every. little. thing in my body now. However, the feeling of a cyst is something quite painful and is beyond the feeling of a cramp. Anyway, so if you're feeling a cramp, then it's probably just that. But if you're feeling pain, or something different than a cramp, then you may want to listen to your body. I hope you're doing well today!

It is nice to know there are still nice people on this site.

Was everyone else in this thread mean?  WTF?

I can't believe this many people with paper-thin sensitivities exist and are all posting on this site.  I am dubious of everyone at this point.  Everyone has the same story, the same posting pattern, and likes to throw in "Oh, BE NICE!" to responders to every thread.
No not on this question but on other people's questions I have seen people being very rude.

Probably - and I don't mean this in a cruel way, but in a brutally honest way - because some people around here are asking really stupid questions and it's maddening.

"I'm 2 days late!  What should I do?!"
"I have cramps!  Could it be implantation?!"
    "Am I pregnant?!"

And then people cry foul and "this is supposed to be a support group why aren't you being supportive waaaaa!" when they get straightforward, no-nonsense answers that (I suspect) make the OP feel foolish.

Look - to all the lurkers out there, do yourself a favor and educate yourself on your body and your cycles.  Learn about phases, learn about the things that happen to make other things happen.  I bought Taking Charge of your Fertility for like $4.99 on Amazon and it was the best $4.99 I ever spent.

No one here is bitchy or mean.  A little snarky, sure, but that's ok.  We're here to help you and YES we will support you along the way, but help yourself first and learn about your shit before you come running here asking about whether your stomach cramps and sore boobs on CD 26 mean something. Please.

  • Hi! Just wants to say that I temp and confirmed ovulation. I got a false positve opk and cd 8. No other symptoms except the positve test. 4 days later I had cramping, back ache, sharp pains during BD. I took another OPK test and got another positve, happy face opk. Fertility Friend confirmed ovulation on the day I had those pains. Def pay attention to your body but don't overanalyze. (Easier said than done! I should take my own advice lol) good luck to you!
