Milk or Dairy issues... Blahhhh

So I think cow's milk is making me nauseous. So weird because normally I love milk, but I had stopped drinking much of it for about a year prior to getting preggo because I was doing a lower carb diet. I can eat cheese or yogurt and feel ok, but straight milk makes me feel super sick these days. Sucks! Anyone else?

  • @Madisonpenny ok so maybe it's not in my head! So weird. Sometimes nothing sounds better than a tall glass of milk... I'm gonna have to stay away from it now though -_- lol
  • Me too, I can't do milk, yogurt is about the dairy I can handle. And it has to be Greek at that.

  • I can't eat dairy at all, although my tolerance has actually been better since getting pregnant (there's just no such thing as dairy free soft serve anywhere near where I live- I caved a little). I use almond milk or other alternatives in all of my smoothies, cereals, cooking, etc. And I drink a big glass of almond milk with a little chocolate syrup mixed in before bed every night. Yum :)
  • My only problem with milk is that I can't stop drinking it. I hate milk too...

  • I am with you! I usually LOVE milk and drank at least one glass a day. Now I can't stomach it. It makes me so sick even in my cereal :( I can't wait to drink it again!

Do you have a TCBY close? They carry almond milk soft serve it's dairy and soy free. It's amazing :)

  • I had that with my Jamie. ..he only had milk mixed with cereal. ..sometimes it's the texture...try milk shakes or smoothies ...just as long as you're getting your calcium you should be good. ...

  • I love cow milk, but lately it makes me really bloated. I decided to switch to goat milk, which is also great just a little more expensive. I know a lot of people think it's weird but I have been drinking it since I was a little girl.
  • Some people develop lactose intolerance during pregnancy.  I have a friend who did and as soon as her son was born she had no problems with dairy anymore.

  • I'm the opposite ... I can't get enough milk right now! Although since I've been sick the past few weeks I've avoided it because I don't need the extra phlegm (yeah, I know ... gross!). I'm looking forward to being able to have it again!
