It sounds like you are doing everything you can to be healthy so probably shouldn't worry unless your doctor is concerned. I gained a lot of weight over the holidays and my doctor gave me the weight talk. For me it helped to cut out all sweets and I was able to maintain and not gain anymore (about 20 pounds) by my appointment a month later. I'm going in for an appointment today so I will find out how much I gained in the last few weeks. I am a little worried because I haven't been as good about eating as I was.
last pregnancy I gained 35 lbs, this time I'm at 24lbs at 30 weeks. I'm expecting to gain 35-40 again. So for me it was true. that being said, some doctors may tell you to gain more or less depending on your starting weight. If your doing what you say, then I wouldnt worry about it because it seems like your leading a healthy lifestyle and thats what is important before overall weight gain
I've gained like 6lbs - only baby / placenta / fluid weight. I seriously wouldn't worry if you're being healthy and doc isn't worried.
I find more and more that the "normals" of pregnancy are usually a guideline and for lots of women are nowhere near. This is especially prevalent for the symptoms we all feel, the weight gain, BP etc etc
Hahaha....sorry had to laugh. I gained 70 or more pounds with my first and this one I'm going on 50 pounds. only because I'm on a low carb diet . I am 5' 6 and have always weighed no more than 135. My doc says no worries you don't get to keep the weight. I lost mine real quick with my first with no exercise or diet.
I'm 5"6 and was about 140 pre pregnancy... I refuse to look at the scale anymore because I know I've gained at least 40 pounds at 32 weeks even though I kept up with zumba 3 times a week and walked on the treadmill and did light weights 4 times a week the weight has kept piling on. The doctor said a lot of my recent weight gain is fluid because I'm swollen really bad... She tells me to ignore the "normal" weight gain everyone talks about because everyone is different.
@jgillis13 I'm a zumba mama too!!! Still trying to make at least 2 classes a week, as I'm sure you're also feeling all 8 months of pregnancy too, it's getting hard to keep up anymore.
It's difficult to see the scale creep up. I've gained 28lbs so far at 32 weeks. Not something I like, but I can only do so much on my end about weight gain. Increased calorie intake, fewer exercise days, and a painfully slow metabolism has added on some extra pounds.
Praying to the breast feeding gods for my pre baby weight!! All I want is to wear my clothes again. I'm sick of spandex!!!
