Im 17.4wks and just found out my sweet little baby GIRL is healthy (as well as myself) after some blood work and genetic screening. Very excited and so relieved. In a few weeks I'll be having my anatomy scan (also will be my first ultrasound). As I know the anatomy scan is almost completely necessary and I am excited to get it and see the baby and make sure everything is ok, I have been doing some research and some are saying that ultrasounds could be hazardous (contribute to birth defects and such). Some also say that the strong waves can be traumatizing to the baby. Is this true?
I was wanting to go get an elective ultrasound this week as I am so eager to see baby, but now I am second guessing. Thoughts and opinions mamas, please!
