anyone else getting an US towards the end?

Has anyone's Dr discussed doing an ultrasound towards the end? If so, my question is how many weeks will you be when they do it? I will be getting another us to check size towards the end but I'm not sure when. I forgot to ask. Just fyi He's doing it because my first baby was 10lbs 8 oz and I had a terrible pp hemorrhage and had to have blood transfusions. It really sucks that the us can be off 1-2 lbs!

I have an ultrasound at 32 weeks to check on a low-lying placenta. Hoping it will have moved out of the way! Will also be good to get an estimate of baby's size and position.

Hoping your experience this time around will be smoother than the first. Poor thing!

My dr does an unlytasoumd at 36 weeks to check fetal weight. I remember trying to get out of it during my last pregnancy since they can be off by so much. I was afraid they were going to tell me that the baby was big and push me into a csection...but they didn't all was well.

My doc does an U/S every time I've seen her. I'm not high risk, she says she just prefers to do this so we can both see the baby, hear the heart beat and check the position all at once. My last OB only did 2 scans so it's quite nice seeing my lo so regularly.

My first was born 10.6 at 39weeks so I will also be having a late ultrasound. We have it planned for 37weeks. In hopes that this baby is a bit smaller so I can have a vbac

We have an US scheduled for 32 weeks for a growth check due to the cord inserting into the placenta at the edge instead of the middle. They want to make sure she's continuing to get enough nutrients and that she's still growing. If she slows down too much they will take her early. I'm very thankful for the extra checks and just want her safely out of me and in my arms.

I have GD and I had one this week to check growth and will have one at 36 weeks. They did say my first baby was going to be big so they induced me. He was 7 lb, 5 oz. They said this baby is measuring big too on Monday. We will see.

I'm having one at 34 wks due to being induced last time with my dd from low AFI. I requested it so we can measure it early and make sure it's good to go.

I will be having one around 37/38 weeks to check the weight of my baby. I was induced at 39 weeks with the last two because my daughter was 9lbs 3oz at 40 weeks. Doesn't sound huge but it was too big for me.

I just had one at 30 to check many things but mainly the placenta and make sure he is still growing well. I will have another at 36 weeks to check on him and myself. Their are many problems going on though.

I have one scheduled for 33 weeks to check on an Echogenic Intracardiac Focus (Bright spot on the heart - could mean nothing, could also rarely be a Down Syndrome Indicator) that was detected at my 20 week ultrasound and also to check on growth. Really hoping it has disappeared by now, as that is generally what happens in the third trimester. If I go overdue, Ill have another ultrasound as well.

I just had one at 31 weeks 5 days. I was also told one every month now till I deliver to keep an eye on his size. I don't mind get to see my baby boy

32, 34, 36, 37 (they don't expect me to make 38).

I have moderate asthma, so they do growth scans and fluid level checks.

I have one scheduled for
35 weeks. My doctor said baby is measuring two weeks ahead. Hoping she doesn't get too big!

One at 32 and another at 36. My last baby was born at 40w10d weighing 5lbs 8 and in distress. Basically I had a teeny placenta that was missed. This time I've had lots of scans and am under a consulatant. So far so good though and it has been reassuring to see her so often.

Not sure if I'll have another one or not. My last one was the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. If I do get another one, it would be nice to see the baby, if not that's okay too. I guess I can't complain because everything is going well with very few concerns. Gooduck to all of you ladies with yours!

Im 37 and considered high risk for my age. I got one US done at 12 weeks at my OB office before they referred to perinatal specialist. After that I havent gotten another US at the OB office but have had 3 at the perinatal specialist. I was told at my last OB appt that they would now be doing a BPP (biophysical profile) US before every appointment from now to delivery... i am going every two weeks and have 9 weeks left. I will also be getting 2 more in depth US at the perinatal specialist Im sure before hes due. I am kinda glad I got so many this time around - hearing his heartbeat is one thing but actually seeing him on screen moving is something else entirely

Just found out I'll have another at 36 weeks. Only 5 weeks til I can see baby girl again

they're monitoring her size since DS was so big.

I had an ultrasound done at 28 weeks for them to see how my low-lying placenta is doing. I will find out the results of that scan next week, at my 32-week appointment. If my placenta hasn't decided to creep up to a normal range yet, I will have to go back for another u/s at 36 weeks.
