Vomit! Help!

It's been coming on for a couple of days. My husband had a bad cold last week and we kept him quarantined but my almost 10 week old started coughing a couple days ago. Last night, coughing, sneezing and congestion was worse. Even though he was nursing, I was seriously engorged this morning because he wasn't really eating. Then, this morning I had him on my lap leaning against the breastfeeding pillow, facing me, and he coughed and then vomited an AMAZING amount of vomit all over himself and me. Not spit up, this smells like puke. So gross. But he's smiling and was hungry, now is taking a good nap (in my arms, no need to work on napping in the crib today). Only thing I can't handle is his breath totally smells like puke! Help! I'm a ftm - any experienced moms out there have any advice for sick babies? We have our two month well baby visit today - I guess it will be a two month unwell baby visit instead.

    So sorry to hear. I have no advice. Could it just be spit up?! Spit up stinks too of it's been in belly a while.
    Maybe your baby well visit will have an answer??

    It was a LOT. Not just spit up. I'll spare the icky details. Only did it the once though, and spit up this afternoon.

    The doctor wasn't concerned, and poor little guy received his vaccines today too. He's having a rough day.

    Keep an eye on his wet diapers-make sure he is still having plenty of them. As long as he keeps eating and peeing and doesn't have a fever over 100.4, you're good.
