I'm 32 weeks. This morning I woke up and my groin/hips hurt so bad! I haven't had any pain like this before. But I literally felt like I had ran 15 miles, I could hardly walk! Has this happened to anyone else?
Yes. Your hips and pelvis are widening. It is painful. Sometimes giving my body 30 seconds after sitting up in bed before standing up helps. I also find that prenatal yoga has helped me this pregnancy. Hang in there!
Oh it's so much fun. My LO is sitting so low my hip/pelvic pain started about half way through this pregnancy. Now at 36 weeks, I just keep telling myself home stretch... I can't keep up with my 4yo walking in the mall!
If it's extremely debilitating, it could be something worse like pelvic girdle dysfunction. I haven't been able to walk since about 28 weeks without constant pain. This is not actually compleletly "normal" for pregnanxy and I had to go off of work. I recommend Chiro or PT as they can help alleviate the pain. If you google this condition, you can see that it is more serious than just regular preh symptoms.
Sure, discomfort is a part of pregnancy, but there are things you can do to alleviate it. I have pelvic girdle pain and it's been debilitating since about 23 weeks. But there are things you can try. Massage (particularly of glutes, legs, & lower back) is essential. Acupuncture also helps. I personally haven't had much luck with chiro during this pregnancy, but last pregnancy it helped! Finally my midwife recommended a homeopathic medication called lecithin--life changing!! I feel for you!!
Sleeping is painful. I change positions several times a night to distribute my weight to other joints. I wake up every day feeling like I did some crazy full body workout. Even my feet joints are sore when I step down on the floor. One more month of this >.>
Yup. I am at the point where I don't remember what sleeping through the night feels like. Baby is so low in my pelvis and it makes everything hurt down there! I toss and turn all night to try to find some relief for my hips.
Feeling the same way, 35 weeks and all I do is toss and turn all night as my hips hurt. I'm still working and have to get up often so I don't get stiff. Otherwise it's painful to walk. Soon this will all be over and my princess will be here!! Silver Lining!
Yes my left hip hurts so bad sometimes if im sitting and make the slightest movement i get the worst pain shoot through it. Its getting to the point where i cant even drive in the car comfortably. ...i have a little over 4 weeks remaining and im so ready. .. itll all be worth it in the end.
The biggest complaint I have is mainly my husbands complaints, requests for sex & pressure about bills. He's acts like he has no sympathy & his silence is the topper. I feel crappy, sickly & emotional. I'm 3-4 cm's dialated, baby has dropped, contractions daily, but not consistent & I'm only 36 weeks. Good luck to you ladies & GOD bless you all. I do have sympathy for us all!
