Re: ~*Tuesday Twin Check -In*~

  • Week/Fruits: 30wks/cucumbers

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): boy/girl

Symptoms: migraines, indigestion, heartburn, pain in my ribs, and generally uncomfortable and tired

Appointment AW: check up with O/B Thursday

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: I feel like my body is starting to fail me...I am so uncomfortable all the time. I know I felt this way with my DD at the end but it was easier to handle because I knew it would be over in a week or two. Two months is just so daunting...I am only going to get bigger and more uncomfortable:(

GTKY : What are you most excited for with the twins...what are you most afraid of? Seeing how much my DD loves them... At least I hope she does. Most afraid of a c-section, specifically trying to take care of the twins, my DD and recover....crossing my fingers for vaginal birth.

  • Week/Fruits: 28w3d, eggplants

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Di/di boys

Symptoms: Tired, congested, a lot of pressure on my lungs lately (baby B is up very high).

Appointment AW: Last U/S showed they are about the same size, but A is breech. Really hoping he flips. Next check is in a week.

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: Wondering how big my belly will get! Worried that I'll need to have a C section if A doesn't turn.

GTKY : What are you most excited for with the twins...what are you most afraid of? I cat wait to meet these boys! I'm afraid of a C section and getting all of us into a routine. I'm also a little worried about breastfeeding and having enough for two!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

  • Week/Fruits: 30/cucumber

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): di/di girls

    Symptoms: rib pain, tired, swelling

The girls have gotten to the size where i can feel a bum or foot or head and they wiggle away when I touch that part. It's so tempting to do but then I remember I'm constantly poking them and that's likely annoying lol.

Appointment AW: midwife Thursday, fetal assessmet next Wednesday

    Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns:
I had to do the 2 hour glucose test today as I failed the one hour last week. Results should be in tomorrow.

I am now at the point where people comment that 'I must be due any day' based on my size. I don't have a smooth way to share in having twins and it always feels awkward to me even though I'm not uncomfortable sharing. What do you ladies say?

How often are you going for ultrasounds now?

GTKY : What are you most excited for with the twins...what are you most afraid of?

I'm excited to see the connection between our girls. That twin bond sounds pretty amazing. Also to see DS become a big brother.

I am afraid of a c-section but more specifically needing to be knocked out under general for c-section.
  • Week/Fruits: 25 weeks/Cauliflowers

    Twin Type (Identical/Fraternal/etc): Boy/GIrl

Symptoms: Back pain, not sleeping anymore, pain in belly from babies kicking and flipping all day/night long, grumpy (from lack of sleep), restless leg syndrome when trying to sleep, leg cramps, always thirsty but pee every 10 minutes :-/

Appointment AW: I go on Monday for my glucose test and sonogram (twins measurements)

Questions/Comments/Complaints/Concerns: Even though I am only 25 weeks, I feel like I should be done being pregnant by now. I have a giant belly, I can barely walk, and I'm sick of working. Not sleeping is really screwing up my schedule and making me cranky lately. And I'm sick of people telling me that I still have a long time to go and that I am going to be as big as a house (like I don't realize that). I don't know what to do about the lack of sleep. It's not like I can take anything and I'm already using a million pillows and sleeping in the position that they tell you to. I'm just uncomfortable/in pain all night. Ugh.

GTKY : What are you most excited for with the twins...what are you most afraid of?
I am most excited for them to be in my arms! I can't wait to hold them and it will all finally feel real. I still can't imagine having two infants, kind of crazy! I am afraid of the lack of sleep. I am not good at working/getting through my day on no sleep. Also, afraid of how it will feel when I have to go back to work after my maternity leave. That will be tough.
  • @cmackay05...I just say "actually I am only 30w...pregnant with twins" why will they give you a general with a c-section?

@sarahgracewedding...I take a unisom every night...it doesn't knock me out but it definitely helps. I have been taking it my whole pregnancy. They said it is safe during pregnancy. It couldn't be worse for the babies than no sleep.
  • @hchellebelle
That's not a planned situation but sometimes if action needs to happen fast and there isn't time for a spinal or
Epidural they have to use general. Definitely an emergency situation. I would like to try to have these babies naturally but I'm trying to find a balance between declining an epidural as long as possible without setting myself up for a troublesome situation. This will largely be influenced by baby positions as the weeks go by. So many variables with twins!
