23wweks pregnant and I've bad wisdom tooth pain what can I take for the pain.

  • I would recommend seeing a dentist- tooth pain can be caused by infection and you don't want to mess around with that while you are pregnant. If you need to have them out, 2nd tri is when they do it
  • Dentist. Dr. Antibiotics might be needed
  • I concur on the dentist. Mouth infections are no good, and bad for your health and thus the health of your baby. Be sure and see a dentist

  • Ask your dr for sure but when I had my wisdom teeth out I used clove oil. I wasn't pregnant at the time and I'm not a huge believer in the "powers" of oils. Dentists use clove oil to coat cotton balls and place on inflamed gums to stop pain and swelling. I don't know if it's safe during pregnancy but if your doctor tells you that you can use it, you must cut it with olive oil or it will burn your gums.
