FTM hospital visitors restricted

Hello!
I am expressing my thoughts...

I am a first time mommy (FTM) :-)

I absolutely don't want any visitors beside my mom or sister if something happens, whichever is available (we both are deaf and my sister is a nurse and completing her masters in PHD and my mom is a nurse and she signs)? I am very private person myself.

Even before and after birth. I rather wait until I get home. Since Timmy has a large family and I don't.

Is that bad enough?

    You let whoever you feel comfortable with come visit while you are in the hospital. As for me I was away from family and only had one friend visit but that is because she worked there , other than that I didn't want to see anyone . Everyone is different though. Some people enjoy the extra attention, I was too worn out to enjoy or want any. 

    There is nothing wrong with wanting no one or only specific people there : )

    Agree with pp, there is absolutely nothing wrong with requesting people to wait until you are home To come meet baby. I don't blame you, I don't want a ton of people there either!

    There is nothing wrong with not wanting people. As a second time mom, I'm feeling the same way. Im not a very private person, but it's just very overwhelming.
