Positive vibes for vaginal birth...

Last week (my week 38), the baby wasn't even at -3 station and I was not dilated or effaced at all. If I don't get some progress this week I will wind up with a c section directly after I hit 40 wks( which is more risky for me since I have a very large fibroid that could cause some serious bleeding). Anyone have any encouraging miracle stories about how you had no progress and then all the sudden at week 39 you were miraculously at zero station and dilated???? I need some positivity!!!

    I'm confused as to why no dilation means c section?? Why not inducing or waiting for a little longer ? Your due date could be as much as a week or two off if it's based on LMP.

    But other than that. I had a friend just a month ago that went for her appointment and they told her she was still closed up right, two days later she had that little boy! In 6 hours too. And a week before her due date.

    Dilation and all that means so little. My doctors don't even check until after your due date

    They wanted to do a c section from the start, due to other complications. They were just trying to avoid it. The dilation isn't really a big deal but the fact that the baby has been just above the pelvis for four weeks is concerning. They aren't sure if fibroid is obstructing baby's descent or if my pelvis isn't large enough. So that's the biggest issue really. :(
