Homeopathic medicine

Hi all. I am just wanting to get your take on taking homeopathic medicine while pregnant?

Re: Homeopathic medicine

  • Always check with your OB first, as some can interfere with any meds you might be on or may be unsafe for the baby.

  • That's all my midwives will let me have. I haven't had good luck with results. I love me some sudafed and excedrin. Chestal was the only thing they've given me that seems to have worked for anything I've been plagued with.
  • I haven't taken any. I usually do when I"m not pregnant, and when I am pregnant I take nothing unless I really need it. Then the only thing is tylenol. I had a 6 week long awful cold with terrible sinus pressure - but I didn't take any of the stuff I found (homeopathic wise) and my dr never said I could have sudafed, she just sort of said "suck it up". Soooo yeah. That was pretty brutal. Not saying I recommend it. I lost a lot of sleep and was miserable. I also love acupuncture but I usually only can afford it a few times a year, so I've been saving my money for it for weeks 36-38.
  • There are many alternatives that are safe. Homemade elderberry and local honey will help you leaps and bonds With most ailments.
