I'm 29 weeks too, and I was gonna start doing it after my baby shower which I'll be 33 weeks. & I've been told to take own pillow and own bathroom stuff, comfy clothes for you and baby oh and makeup if you plan to get ready any of the day's your there lol
Comfy clothes/pj's for you and a onesie for the baby. Most hospitals provide baby shirt or singlets plus blankets so you only need a going home outfit. Then toiletries, plus a pack of maternity pads and breast pads. Honestly you don't need much and most hospital provide the extra stuff you needs immediately following the birth.
I was talking with my sister last night about her experience. She said she'd packed the bags (one for baby, one for her, and one for husband) and put them in the car at 35 weeks. That way she could get ready and not worry about it anymore. I have compiled a list (from everywhere) and am going to start hunting and gathering items soon.
Below is a recent post on this with some good responses. You can start packing for baby anytime but I assume you still need all your stuff. Just make a list of all the stuff you'll need but still use so you can grab it right before. With dd, I was doing laundry everyday in the end to make sure I had my comfiest stuff ready.

I will have mine packed by 34 weeks. With my first, water broke at 39 weeks. When you pack, leave a list with large print on top of the last minute items- phone charger, laptop, laptop charger, tooth brush, makeup, contacts, etc.
Don't worry about shampoo/conditioner/soap. Hospital should have all that. Same with towels. I deliberately leave my pillows at home because hospitals still have germs and I don't want to come home and immediately have to wash my favorite pillow. Also, you're so damn tired in there- you could sleep on a bag of marbles and you'd sleep just as soundly.
Don't bring anything for baby EXCEPT the carseat, coming home outfiit and blankets for the carseat. Don't bring diapers or wipes or diaper cream. Also, my lactation consultants discouraged the boppy for the first few weeks. So I brought mine to hospital but didn't use it. Probably won't bring this time.
The biggest thing for me to pack that was like "oh duh" is a swimsuit for dh in case you plan to labor in water and other items for dh- like his change of clothes, his deoderant (not that it's my job to remember, but he just always forgets), etc. Also- snacks. You can only order from the cafeteria like 3 times/day and you get hungry!
I packed when I went into labor last time and will this time. I did pack baby's stuff around 32 weeks. (Boppy/sleepers/socks is all you really need) I also had the car seat installed around 32 weeks.
Re: hospital bag !
That being said, the NHS website has a good list, as does the feb and March boards. The general consensus seems to be not to overpack
