Considering the name Kian Alexander. A little concerned people will constantly misspell/mispronounce it... I have 3 other kids, Devin, Aiden, and Jocelyn.
Kian as in Ian with a k? I think that is really awesome and original! People will probably misspell/mispronounc but if you like it go for it! My name is Ellyn..just like Ellen except with a y and you wouldn't believe how many people mess that up..i don't really care though I feel like a one and only!
As a teacher of 1st graders, my students would tell you that according to your spelling it should be pronounced K-Eye-N When two vowels are together, the first one does the talking.

Its a reasonably common name in Ireland, and yes it is pronounced like Ian with a K. It's sometimes spelt with a C instead of a K, but it keeps the K sound. I like it
That's exactly why I'm trying to convince dh to like Liam..lol.. everyone will know how to say it... I do like Kian, but don't want my son getting annoyed at people always questioning it......
Another Liam here as well. Not to add more to the list hahaha. Good thing we are all spread apart! We had a hard time coming up with a first name. We had middle names picked out as he is having 2, Jack (after boyfriend grandfather who passed ) and Richard (after my dad) and to try and find something that went with Jack was nearly. Impossible. Nothing sounded right. Then we came across Liam. And when it's all put together Liam Jack Richard. Sounds great to me.
Yea that does sound nice! I know Liam is more common, bit I don't personally know any so doesn't really bother me.. I have an Aiden, and we run into Aidens, but I still love his name!!!!
Re: opinions on this name for my boy?....
Thank you!!

ETA: it's not my favorite, but Liam wasn't my husband's favorite either. So after a few other negotiations, we both compromised.
