Baby shower food

What food would you guys recommend for a baby shower?

Re: Baby shower food

  • I had my shower yesterday. It was mid afternoon so we had a fruit, veggie and cheese trays, three types of sandwiches, a couple of hot and cold dips with crackers and pita chips for dipping and a table full of sweets with coffee, tea and strawberry lemonaid. Everyone seemed to enjoy it!

  • Planning my shower now and going for a vintage tea party theme.. So I'm having finger sandwiches, a big themed cake, scones, muffins, macaroons, chocolate eclairs, a chocolate fountain with March mallows, popcorn, shot glasses with jelly in.. And then a table with coffee, tea, and a refreshing lemonade X
  • Im having a vintage love theme showee and Im have fruit/cheese tray, wraps, pasta salad, seafood salad, chicken skewers, and some other things my brain cant remember but Im having ice teaand strawberry lemonade and a whole dessert table in place of favors
  • We're having a co-ed shower and inviting both sides of the family so our guest list is in the 80s just for adults. Our families are huge and to save our hosts from going broke on food we requested fruit, lemonade, and dessert. So it sounds like we're having a cheesecake bar. Plain cheesecakes with all sorts of toppings to choose from.
  • My hostesses are having finger sandwiches, chips, fruit bowl and veggie/cheese trays. Some type of punch and of course the cake.
  • What kind of sandwiches would be good? we have chicken sandwiches so far, atleast want one other kind lol
  • I had my shower last weekend. We had finger sandwiches, 7 layer dip, deviled eggs, veggie tray, pasta and potato salad and a supreme pizza from Costco. Way to much food! We made a punch with Apple cider and also had pink lemonade, soda and water and of course the cake
  • My mom just shared her menu with me for a shower this weekend... It will be a sit down lunch with servers, courses will be soup, curried chicken salad croissant sandwiches, mixed baby greens salad, and a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Beverages will be lemon water, cucumber water, and blackberry mint water. It's being hosted in her beautiful farmhouse so it kind of fits with the setting. There will only be 14 guests at this shower so it works for that size group, but she is doing another larger shower and will be putting out the sandwiches and salad, skipping the soup, and adding fruit and not having the meal served but doing it buffet style.
  • One of my favorite showers I went to had a salad bar as the main meal, which was so good (and filling with chickpeas, chicken, etc.)
  • My mother is planning mine, and she just decided to hire someone to cater. Think of something everyone likes, and make mass amounts of it. We are having someone cater a taco bar
  • I love an afternoon shower with light fare - chicken salad and such. My Italian in laws would never let that happen so it was your typical 7 course meal, as is every get together. Then they all complain about how much is wasted. They wouldn't have it any other way.

  • Mine was a brunch style. Mimosas, french toast, egg sandwiches, salad, fruit, juice, coffee, danishes.
