First name decisions...

We have two first names that we both love with the middle name Mai (my). My aunt recently told me that Melodi sounds like a stripper name. I'm a bit upset seeing as this was my favorite. Help!!! Melodi or Mileena

    I like Mileena the best. But if Melodi is a name you really really love then stick with it! I am planning on naming my little girl Tatum, but have heard from people on the baby names board that it sounds very similar to "taint" from the female anatomy. And others we have told have said "oh, like the washed up child star Tatum O'neill" Im over other peoples opinions, We will be bringing to this world Tatum Kathleen.

    This is why I don't tell people our names... If you love Melodi name her Melodi, or switch it to Melody which is beautiful and less strippery. I'm not familiar with the name Mileena, but the first thing that came to my mind when I read it was Mirena the IUD.

    As a nurse I can't help think of melena which is bloody stool. I know it's a pretty name but. . . I like Melody a lot.

    Even though you are over other people's opinions, I have to say Tatum Kathleen is very pretty and original.

     I think Melodi is nice, but I would also go with Melody as the spelling.
