No movement

I will be 26 weeks on Tuesday. Saturday morning, I woke up and had severe pain in my pelvic area. It was painful to sit, I could barely walk. Prior to that I felt my son move 3 days straight, non stop. I'm going on day two of the terrible lower abdominal pain, I also haven't felt him move in two days. Should I be worried/get checked? Also, when the pain started Saturday, I was leaking more than normal.. Like a watery discharge. Tmi, I apologize.

If your pain is that severe, trust your judgment and go to your doctor. You know best what is and isn't normal/tolerable for you. Unfortunately none of us here will be able to know for sure what is going on. Movement is another extensively discussed topic here, but I'm not sure if it relates to your pain. Your doctor/midwife will have a better answer. Good luck!

  • I agree, I'd go and get checked out just to put your mind at rest if nothing else. Xx
  • Yeah, we can't know whether the change in movement patterns is related or important, but if you can't think of a reason why you'd have severe pain all of a sudden, I'd call the doc for sure. In general I think lack of movement isn't really notable until 28+ weeks, so try not to stress on that point yet!
  • I don't think a phone call to your doctor's office would hurt.

  • I would give a call up to your DR and take to his/her nurse. If they aren't available right away you souks be able to call up to your hospitals ob floor and talk to the on call. Just tell them everything and they will tell you if they want you to come in or not. My feeling on this is always better to be safe than sorry. Good luck though!!
  • At this point I would probably call the doctor. Hoping everything is alright girl! Come back and update... especially if LO gives you a reassuring kick!
  • I just got done with a dr appointment because I went about 36 hours not feeling movement. I did not have pain though. Try to take a deep breath & call your dr. Everything could be fine but it's always nice to check & have that peace of mind.
  • @coachjulez- how was your appointment? Baby ok?

  • Rule of thumb. If u have not felt your baby move in 12 -24 hours ...or movments have slowed down to a very noticable point. Get to ur hospital. U wont have to wait in waiting room. Just go up to baby floor and they will put the doppler on you. You dont have to wait till no movment. Babies can still be saved if there are early complications. But when its too late...its too late. Error on the side of caution. No one will think ur carzy.
  • I feel her move for 30 minutes every two hours ... I would be freaking out if I didn't feel her in a few hours .I do have a heart Doppler to check on her, though never needed it
  • How far along is everyone? I am 24 weeks and felt a lot of movement on Saturday but it slowed down yesterday and not much today. It is after 5 who would I call if I am concerned? Should I be concerned? I have no pain.
