So, at my 25 week check up, my fundal measurement was 31cm (when it should have been max 27cm). I might need to get another ultrasound to determine my due date more accurately.
Ive never had it happen like that. but I have a few friends whos due date has changed.
they will just give you an ultrasound to determine if the babys measurements are correct and adjust accordingly. I believe if they do change it they will follow up with another ultrasound.closer to your due date to make sure.

With my first pregnancy they measured my fundal height and I was measuring something ridiculous like 8 weeks ahead. Went for an ultrasound and everything was measuring fine. They didn't change my due date. Everyone carries differently!

I am measuring four weeks ahead. Your early ultra sounds are the most accurate for due date. Measuring larger could mean a number of issues, but if you have had early dating ultrasounds, your due date being wrong is very unlikely.
I am 26w 2d. I had an appointment today and my dr said I was measuring bigger but did not say how much. I'm going for an ultrasound next Wednesday. It made me feel better just now to read this thread and the comments
I'm also measuring ahead. 2 weeks ago I met with my family doc, and he said most of the time they give you a 2pm each way for how far along you are. And I'm measurin over each time. But they haven't changed my due date. I meet with my ob tomorrow so we will see what she says.
This is my third baby and in each pregnancy I have measured a number of weeks behind. With baby 1 and baby 2 they did a few extra ultrasounds in the third trimester to confirm baby was growing okay. I am tall so I think there is just more room for baby to stretch out. Fundal measurements aren't precise either and it probably depends who does the measurement as they are just guessing where the top of your uterus is.
Sometimes I read threads like this and wonder why my midwives don't tell me this stuff, but then I realize I would probably worry way more...
I know they measure these things but all I'm told is, "everything looks great!" I have never been told HCG levels, fundal measurement, Anything like that, even though they are obviously checking things.
That said, I don't think it's anything you need to worry about, seems like it's just the EDD that needs adjusting but really, EDD are estimated.
My OB told me that once they do the initial dating ultrasound at 8ish weeks (I was nine at mine), they set the due date and don't change it. She said that like babies on the outside, after those first few weeks, they all grow at different rates. So like we don't change a toddler's birthday because he's tall, we're not changing an estimated due date because the baby is bigger at a checkup.

I don't know if they are checking necessarily. I know my HGC levels were never checked. My 24 week appointment was yesterday, and she listened to the baby's HB for a second, and then felt where the top of my uterus was, but didn't actually measure. Everything is fine, there's no reason to suspect anything is off - I prefer it this way. I actually feel like going in every 4 weeks is a bit overkill, but of course I keep my appointments. At least I get to know my blood pressure - I've always enjoyed that!

My doc is the same way. Very few details, and so far I'm liking it that way. According to him, everything is always "as expected"'
Starting at 28 weeks I have to go in every 2 weeks (standard) I think it's overkill !!!!!!! And annoying to scheduld
That does seem a bit much! My schedule is every 4 weeks until 36, then 38, 39, 40, 41. I just wish I felt like there was more they were doing each time to justify the time and expense. Not that I want more tests - whatever, I guess it's not really much to complain about, just an annoyance.
