TL;DR - Where does your baby sleep overnight? (Crib, cradle, RNP, PNP, etc)
Ok, ladies....I'm having my first bout of mommy guilt. Just want to get an idea of what other people are doing for where LO sleeps.
When I was pregnant my DH and I took infant care classes which basically terrified me of the possibility of SIDS. I was planning to have the baby sleep in the RNP next to our bed, but the nurse who taught the class said it wasn't the safest choice, so we went out and bought a cradle instead.
Long story short, our baby will only sleep in the cradle in the mornings (like 7 am - 9...I have no idea why). So I've been putting him in the mamaroo to sleep at night but I feel like it's not the safest. He likes the motion and I guess it feels more like someone is holding him than the open cradle does.
Any advice? I feel so much less worried when he's in the cradle. I check on him constantly in the mamaroo so I'm not getting a ton of sleep anyway but it's better than nothing.
It's 5 am now and he's in the mamaroo for the second stretch tonight and I'm just feeling like a bad mom that I can't get him to sleep in the cradle where he's safest.

I just found a PNP at once upon a child and it was $70. I'm totally thinking about returning the new one (it's not open yet) and saving some money...
@katiebranz that seems like a lot of money for a PNP! I would def return it if you found one cheaper. Heck, I think the one we registered for and were gifted was like $120... And I know I've seen the basic one (one we have) at some places for under $100.
I'm secretly afraid of trying to get her out of the RNP, but is rather fight that battle now than when she's older and we try the crib.
