PnP for nighttime sleep?

Does anyone have experience with their baby sleeping in the pack n play at night? If so, did you buy an extra/thicker mattress for the PnP?

I am relocating for my job for 6 months, LO will be 4 months and DH is coming too. We will be given a corporate housing 1 bedroom apartment. Therefore, we are not taking any furniture with us. I have thought of getting the co-sleeper, as I breast feed and we will be limited on space. However, from what I read co-sleepers are only for babies up to 5 months. We will be in NYC when LO is 4-10 months. Is the PnP ok for her to sleep on during that time? We have an RnP, but I don't think she can sleep in that up to 10 months, she is already pushing on it with her legs.

Any experience/advice would be great! TIA

  • We are also in temp housing and my son is sleeping in a PNP. We got the Babies R US one that comes with a mattress. He sleeps fine on it now. We are moving when he is about 5.5 months so will use the crib then. I believe older babies can sleep in the bottom part with a mattress.

  • You can buy thicker, more comfy matresses for a pack n play. I think your baby will be fine sleeping in it overnight and for naps. My babies have all slept in them during vacations and such and it worked out just fine!
