Opinions on girls names

I gave my husband the following list of names for our fourth daughter:

Ella Kate
Molly Kate
Maya ?
Sara Elisabeth
Celina Avery
Avery ?

He has narrowed the list down to:

Celina Avery
Ella Kate

Our other girls are:

Alana Claire
Julia Isabel
Olivia Ann

Of the two my husband has narrowed down, which would go best? One day I am leaning toward one name and the next day I switch.

Re: Opinions on girls names

  • I love Ella Kate but I think Celina Avery is more unique. :)  I had a ton of girl names picked and then this little peanut turned out to be a boy. lol Boy names are hard! My DD is Olivia too but we call her Livy.

I told my husband we would be all set if this one turned out to be a boy. With this being our fourth girl we have run out of names. I would say maybe they made a mistake, but we had genetic testing and 3 US so far. She is all girl.

  • I like Celina Avery.  Your other girls have at least three syllable names, so might as well stay with the trend. :)

  • +1 for Celina Avery
  • I like the symmetry of Ella Kate, but agree that Celina Avery may be more unique

  • Ella Kate is beautiful. I'm also partial to Olivia (my first daughter's name) ;)
  • Can I suggest Celina Kate.

I really like Celina and how it fits with your other girls, but not a huge fan of Avery.

  • i like Ella Kate but either really goes well with your current other names i think
  • I like Celina Kate too (what @KateLouise suggested), depending on your last name, the 3-1-? syllable may flow better? Celina Avery is quite a mouthful. But I love the name Avery too -- what about Avery Simone? Oops, now I'm making new suggestions - never mind! I like that the other 3 girls are all 3 syllable names as well, so I vote for Celina!

We had a ton of girl names as well! Took us until just a few weeks ago to FINALLY agree on 2 boy names (we have it narrowed down, but I get final choice once we meet him)! :)  Good luck!

Avery is masculine, so my vote is Ella Kate :)
  • You'll know when you meet her! We are down to 3 possible names with this one and won't narrow it down further until we meet her. With the last one, we had our top boy name plus 2 back-ups. We went with the top name, but threw out the middle name we had paired with it and went with something totally different.
