Wisdom teeth

One of my wisdom teeth recently started giving me a lot of pain. I'm going to ask my OB tomorrow but just wondering if any of you know if it's ok to have a wisdom tooth pulled while pregnant? I want to avoid it all costs but if it gets worse I know I won't be able to take the pain.

    I had a wisdom tooth pulled while about 6 months pregnant with my son and it was no biggie.
    My dentist did need a letter of consent from my OB to treat me and as far as the procedure it was way less invasive as when I had 2 pulled and they put me under. This last time the oral surgeon just used Novocain to numb the area and once the numbness kicked in the tooth was out in literally under 2 minutes.

    My doctor told my local anesthetic is fine during pregnancy. You really shouldn't be given enough to enter your blood stream. I would obviously ask your doctor, but I'd say a little anesthetic is better than a blood infection from a bad tooth :)

    You also want to ask for epinephrine free novocaine.
