Peg Perego Book Pop Up Stroller

so we decided to get a less expensive crib, rocker and got some furniture from
Thrift stores. So now I'm thinking of splurging on a stroller. The Peg Perego Book Pop Up caught my eye. It's obviously very beautiful and have some very high end finishes but also it folds like a breeze, is light in comparison to other strollers in the same class and has an aluminum frame!

Has anyone decided on a stroller or who already bought the Peg Perego or know someone?

I've read every review out there and there really isn't a whole lot.

    We were going with the Peg Perego Book pop up, until we saw the Uppa Baby Vista. We are going with that instead. :)

    I don't have the Book, but I have another high end Peg Perego stroller.... it broke shortly after the warranty ended :( It still works fine, but I have to manually move the loading springs to close and open it. It was really irritating considering now much we paid for it.

    Also, I think the optional/additional bassinet attachments are a total waste. The regular seats recline all the way, and when they're super tiny you'll probably be using the infant carrier anyways.

    I just bought the book plus (my sister has it too), I loved the color options, the fact that it is pretty light weight and easy to fold. Fits into a compact car easily. What I liked was that you can use a babycar seat on it and take it in and out when needed. Also, the storage basket underneath is fairly large and can fit a diaper bag which not all strollers can do. Another neat feature is the hand bar can adjust up and down to your height. The stroller also can be stored up right after it's folded (won't topple over).

    I didn't get the newer model because everyone told me for the price the bassinet was just not worth it and that the book plus offers similar features for half the price.

    The only negative feedback I have received was that the wheels tend to break easily (happened to my sister), and that you have to buy the cup holder and tray console separately.

    Just a tip I learned, if you live in an area that has winter (snow and ice), best to get single wheels vs double as they get caught in the snow. I live in Canada so this was important for me :)

    We were deciding between the uppababy vista and the book pop up and decided to go with peg perego because they have been in business much longer than uppababy and have a great track record. Uppababy is stylish and definitely a competitor but the company has only been in business for 5/6 years as opposed to peg perego who has been in business for over 60 years. I also spent a lot of time feeling the padding inside of the car seat and stroller and the book pop up felt so much more comfortable to me. If you are deciding between these two, I don't think you could go wrong with either one as they are both highly rated and very safe. Good luck!

    We are likely going to get a peg perego car seat, but I just cannot get excited about any of their strollers, so now I'm trying to find a different stroller that can be used with the car seat.

    I just added the Book Pop Up to my registry today. I saw it in person yesterday and fell in love. My mom used one with me and my three siblings, and still has that coach carriage today. I trust the company and their brand. Plus for $800 you get the stroller and bassinet, a lot of strollers that offer bassinets need to be bought separately. Good luck!

    Take a look at the modes click connect travel system by graco. It is way cheaper ($289-$399) and has 10 riding options to choose from. It is very light and basically does everything those other two brands do. :)
