So I want to start a fun thread! I go on zulily everyday and there are soooo many awful maternity clothes. This one looks like my grandma herself got pregnant and designed this!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yuck...I feel like that shirt (dress thingy?) would just have people constantly giving the "is she fat or pregnant" look. I would've loved that skirt in 6th grade though. Lol
Sooo many of the maternity clothes on zulily are AWFUL. I basically have a uniform of jeans, tshirt, and a cardigan these days. Can't wait for it to warm up so I can shed some of these layers!!
Terrible!! Yes, like PP said, maternity fashions back in the 80's and before were for the most part awful! My mom says she is jealous that at least nowadays we are able to embrace the bump and wear some cute clothes-she said back then you weren't really supposed to show it off and everything was tent-like.

I just bought like 5 plain t shirts and 3 cardigans from old navy lol I've been living in them
What blows my mind is that BOTH of those above articles of clothing are apparently supposed go MSRP at a hundred dollars! Are you effing kidding me!?! That skirt is atrocious. I found some nice fitted maternity tops at target I've been rocking that fit like women's fitted tees but hug the bump in a nice way. And my fav 'jeans' are way stretchy and my bump is still mostly above my hips so I've been able to still wear those up to now. I think I may only have a week or more that left, tho. Lucky for me a gal I work with gave me these 'sisterhood of the traveling maternity pants' clothes, so I have some maternity pants once my fav pants won't work anymore
Maternity wear rant: Why on earth is the print of choice for nearly every maternity shirt and dress HORIZONTAL STRIPES?!? It's like someone thought "Hey, you know what would be perfect for a demographic of women who are, by definition, larger than their normal figures? Horizontal stripes to make them look even wider! Perfect!" Maddening.

Yes !!! I thought I was going crazy thinking this. They're everywhere...target, old navy, online, why!? I admit, I have a couple, but I seriously can't handle them anymore.
