Daily Symptoms Thread - Tues 2/24

What's on the docket for today?

Re: Daily Symptoms Thread - Tues 2/24

  • I'm piggybacking on the whole dream theme from yesterday. I just woke up from the most disturbing dream...just, no. I'm not going to go into it, there was a real torture aspect there and I don't want to inflict it on anyone else, but seriously. Pregnant lady dreams are WAY too real

  • Feeling beyond exhausted today, between taking care of issues with getting my car street legal, packing and filling out paperwork to move, work early in the AM and DH's whacked out work schedule, I feel like I haven't slept in years.
Allergies are lessening up, but I think it's because I've gone completely psycho about keeping pets and their hair out of our room at MIL's (cannot even describe how excited I am to move away from that dingbat).
Other than being tired and having to keep a TP roll by my bed, I've been having weird dreams too, but thankfully after the grogginess of sleep wears off I forget them, I just know they are weird and/or confusing as shit when I wake up.
Also, I'm craving those buttery biscuits from Popeyes...I need them...I really do.
  • Crazy dreams here, as well. My back is killing me and I can hardly breathe between stuffy sinuses and pressure on my diaphragm. On the bright side, I haven't felt nearly as depressed as last week so that's a nice change.

I am definitely noticing I am prego lady crazy ad I curerently can't get over the fact my belly button is super weird like I am only 25 weeks it shouldn't want to be out yet. Idk FTM here and it's one of the strangest parts of being pregnant to me. (Please feel free to giggle about this I realize its nuts) But I too am going on like 3 months worth of crazy dreams my dad even gives me crap and says I am no longer allowed to watch amazing race. Although oddly enough none of my dreams are baby related.

    *allowed

allowed= having permission ex: The children were allowed to play outside today.
aloud= being audible ex: She accidentally spoke aloud during study hall.

Sorry, my English degree had to rear its ugly head for a moment.

  • Can my only symptom for the day be absolute gratitude and relief? Okay so maybe that is two. Just got the results of my 2 hour gtt and its completely normal. I'm so thankful I do not have GD this time. My OB will keep an eye on my sugars and if anything shows up in my urine but I don't have GD. Granted I'm not taking this as a pass to eat Mcflurries and will be following mostly the diabetic diet but I feel like the weight of the world is off my shoulders for now. GD is no joke and I had it last pregnancy. I'm taking this pretty seriously.

feeling really down. things DH says will upset me and then im not the nicest and things just escalate from there. and my stomach has really been giving me a hard time these past few days, lingering nausea and a bit of pain which makes working hard. and im running out of the pills i was prescribed.
  • Crazy emotional this week. A dog ran across the road the other day and I wanted to save it but hubby wouldn't stop to get it cause it could live around there and I became an emotional ball of tears saying I just wanted to help the puppy. Sometimes he videos me in all my preggo non sense. Also had a crazy boost of energy yesterday and cleaned 85 percent of the house. I'm feeling the downside of that today by laying around watching netflix. Soo exhausted.
  • Feeling a lot better than yesterday. I used some of DHs Aveeno lotion bc I was out and forgot to check if it had wheat! Major pregnancy/celiac brain! I was so exhausted yesterday and could not get up off the couch. Today I've been feeling great...with just a touch of nausea and a little tired!

Forgive me for my ignorance, but is that a gluten-allergy thing? ...I guess I could look that up, but...
    Glad you're feeling better! :)

Yes, I have celiac disease and my body is really sensitive to gluten (protein found in wheat, barley and rye). I'm really sensitive and if I ingest gluten, I usually have stomach problems and exhaustion/fatigue for several days. I just never had a reaction to lotion!
  • @laurendutch‌ I thought so! Ok, that makes sense...I can't imagine having to deal with that one, sounds like a pain in the ass. I have sensitive skin and am no stranger to the dermatologist, but I can't imagine having to check lotion for wheat or having to have a restrictive diet like I've heard about with those allergies. I give you props! Definitely glad you're feeling better!!!
  • I have been so exhausted this pregnancy! I remember being tired with my first but this is way worse and I feel like I can never get anything done! The past few days I have gotten in bed when I put my 20 month old for a nap telling myself I'll just lay for half an hour and then get up and do stuff and every time I fall asleep and only wake up when he wakes up (so, like, 2 hours later). I know it's my fault and I just shouldn't lay down when I put him down but I'm so tired!!
  • Bloody noses and nausea when I don't eat. Ready for a break!

  • Everything hurts! My hips, my back, legs. It makes sitting even just to eat a pain in the ass. And off and on nausea
  • Restless legs!!!! They're driving me crazy!

Glad to hear others are having disturbing dreams. I mean I feel bad but am glad it's not just me. I dreamed last night that my brother was an assassin sent to kill me. Creepy.

Other than nightmares the leg cramps are killer. I woke up screaming right before the alarm went off. DH had to tell me to "use your words" to get me to communicate that it was a Charlie horse. It's bugged me all day. I've upped the water and am now working on coconut water for extra potassium

  • Ohh the dreams. I've definitely been having some crazy and vivid ones as well. Someone above mentioned bloody nose, I get a dry blood in my nose everyyyy single day, it's been driving me nuts!! And lastly, my feet, ugh do they hurt after working all day. I'm in the military and those boots are NOT comfortable, but luckily they let us wear soft shoes if we're having issues with our feet getting swollen during pregnancy. So I may look a little silly wearing soft shoes with my uniform, but I'd rather look silly than be in pain ;)

This for me too, terrible Charlie horses on a frequent basis in turn resulting in a distressed DH because I just squeal and squirm in pain.

  • Having lots of problems right now! I have an underlying chronic illness so a lot of things are exasperated. Still having morning sickness and nausea but it's definitely better than it was which I am grateful for. Heartburn and indigestion have definitely reared their ugly heads and I've had and a lot of G.I. issues. My back has also started to hurt extremely bad, way worse than what I am used to. Have my GD test tomorrow, kind of nervous about it. I feel like all I want to eat is carbs and dairy and occasionally fruit. I keep eating to ward off the nausea but I feel like I may be stuffing my face a little too much and like I said healthy food is not too appealing. In spite of all the physical problems my mood is great. I guess the pregnancy hormones make me happy except when I'm super tired or sick feeling.
