Do you always get into to see Pedi the same day?

I took DD to the Dr this morning. I called for a sick appointment this morning and when I got through they told me that they only had one appointment left at 9:40. How in the crap do they fill up so fast? I tried to take her for an ear check before Christmas and by 10 o'clock they swore they were double booked and I could take her to urgent care if I thought she needed it. There are three Drs and two nurse practioners in the office. I love her pedi but man I just want to get an appointment when I need one w/o having to call when they first open.

DS has always gotten in same day, usually with the PA though. It is a family practice and I however have not been able to get in the same day. That is ok though I would rather get DS in and me go to urgent care.

We can almost always get in the same day. Even if it means going to the after hours pedi at another one of their locations. I love our clinic. The larger group (which includes all specialties) now has urgent care/same day care 7 days a week AND on weekends and holidays. Came in helpful last year when my little one came down w/multiple ear infections- always on a weekend.

Yes - I almost always wait a long.***.time, but we are seen the same day. sometimes, it's our usual pedi, but not a lot. During the dlu season - our office has extended hours too.

Yes, I was lucky at our previous location tht DD's Pedi was a good friend of ours so she always got us in if we needed, that was a VERY busy clinic that had their appointments for the day fill up by 9 am pretty much daily. Her new Pedi office is awesome. They ALWAYS get us in same day and I never have to wait long, 10 minutes in the waiting room MAX. They are great!

Thus far we have always been able to get in the same day, but we usually have to see another pedi or the nurse practitioner for the last minute appointments.

Yes. On Monday, I called around 11 am and they were able to see R around 3. It is usually with her regular pedi. but if she is not there (vacation/day off), we have seen whichever doc. was available. I've never had trouble getting appointments for her. For me, well, that's another story. usually about a week wait. Which, when you are sick, is rather useless.

Almost always and we never have to wait long. It's the main reason we go to this pedi because it's very out of the way for us.

I've only had to call for sick appts for DD a couple of times, but when I have she's been seen the same day by whoever is available (I wouldn't expect it to always be her main pedi anyway!). I wish DH's doctor was as good about that - he's had to wait days and days sometimes.
