I am being induced tonight at 9pm with a cervadil start and possibly pitocin in the AM if needed. Apparently, I started having contractions last night and had no idea, so all my friends and family who said I would "just know" when labor started, is full of shit.

I am nervous, scared, and excited all at once! I was anticipating being induced later in the week and was only joking when I said it better happen tonight after my doctor appointment, but I guess you sometimes get what you ask for. Wish me luck ladies! I'll be posting a birth announcement any day now!

How exciting! I had to go into l&d for a nonstress test this am for lack of movement. Thankfully everything is fine! They did say I was having contractions the whole 1.5 hours I was hooked up and I didn't feel a thing either. My doctor seemed surprised that I wasn't feeling it at all. He said he could induce right then if I really wanted to but we both agreed that waiting it out at home was best since I want to go as natural as possible and I'm only 40w1d.

Good luck! @yoursincelery‌ mine felt like cramps. Not sure I would've known right away if my water hadn't broken. Just be on the lookout!

@yoursincelery‌ it just felt like an intense tightening in the front of my uterus, basically what my Braxton Hicks felt like several weeks back, but they weren't constant, there was no pattern, nothing to set my watch to. I tried timing them and they were too sporadic. But I guess this morning they were starting to regulate out while I was on the monitor. The best analogy I can give is, if your baby is one who likes to push rather than kick, against the outside of your stomach, you know the tightening feeling you get when they do that? It feels a lot like that, but it lasts a little longer and feels a little more intense, but not painful; just more annoying really.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Still nervous, but really excited to see my little girl and finally not be pregnant anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's been a wonderful experience, but I am tired of feeling like crap all the time.
