LOTIONS- during pregnancy

hello ladies!!! I have gone back and forth on lotions for years (I'm sure I'm not the only one!) but now that I'm pregnant I want to find the best for stretch marks and for my changing body. What is everyone's favorite daily body lotion? Or what nots to use??
Thanks!
-Kelly (first time mommy) :)

  • I like Eucerin calming cream, especially in the winter. Unfortunately there are no lotions that help with stretch marks.

  • I'm using coconut oil :)
  • My mom told me to get Vitamin E oil. Worth a shot.
  • I love coconut oil! I just don't particularly like how oil it really is and it makes everything I touch oily :/

I rub it right in until it's not looking shiny and wash your hands with dawn dish soap after :)
  • I have been a major coconut oil user for years. Last summer I started reaserching more oils that are organic and good for your skin and body (I'm sort of a health nut and over cautious of chemicals in products). I too felt that coconut oil was a little too oily for everyday use. So I've switched to Sweet Almond Oil and Avocado Oil. I love both!! I order off amazon from NOW foods. They are food grade oil and are pressed and packaged without hexane!!

They both dry much faster than coconut oil and I have found them to be extremely hydrating. I'm in the middle of a harsh New England winter and my skin is soft and healthy.

I also use the almond oil on my face to help keep it from getting dry and it does not clog pores and I've yet to get a pimple from it!

Sorry so long winded but I really do love my oils and encourage eveyone (especially mommies to be!) to dabble into the natural skin care and beauty products available.
  • Ditto on coconut oil

  • Mama Mio has a great line
  • I love bio oil, you can find it at Wal-Mart or walgreens. I have a friend that swears by mothers friend, if you don't like the idea of oil.
  • Last pregnancy I used palmers coco butter. It makes me nauseous this time around so I'm using Burt Bee's belly butter

ditto on the Palmers and Coconut Oil.
I've had some really scaly patches on my skin, and I've been using Bag Balm on those spots.

  • Shea Moisture lotions; the coconut hibiscus line is for firming and toning. But the olive oil and green tea line is very good for hydrating skin too
  • Organic coconut oil is what I'll be using!
  • My friend recommended me Clarins, so I bought ut myself. Pretty pricy though, so I really hope it works.
My sister's recommended me organic almond oil. She said it worked great for her.
