Norethindrone and getting pregnant

Hey yall!! I am new to the community and I cannot say that I am "trying" to get pregnant, my husband and I are just not preventing it. More like "Jesus take the wheel" approach haha. Anyways. I stopped taking my birth control pill in November and have yet to see a period along with multiple negative pregnancy tests. So my doctor prescribed Norethindrone to see if I will bleed and get a period and then putting me on cycles of this to get my period. Has anyone successfully gotten pregnant while taking these pills??

    I am not familiar with this med. maybe a lurker can chime in with experience? I looked it up briefly & it appears to be a form of birth control? If you are actively trying to get pregnant, I would imagine this might be difficult if you are put on a progestin-type pill every month. That might mess with your cycle & actually prevent pregnancy?

    OO I should clarify. She put me on a 10 day pill so I do not take it every day like it is prescribed (I believe it is prescribed daily and I will only take it 10 days a month to get a period). She made it seem like this will help me get a period again and hopefully start to ovulate again. Not again I am not 100% at this point that that this will happen or its action if that makes sense.
