Uppa Baby Vista Color Debate

Hi.  I really love the Uppa Baby Vista stroller in Lindsey (wheat).  I even put the stroller onto our registry in the Lindsey color already.  But, after speaking with a salesman at a local store, he told me I'd be crazy to go with such a light color and that it'd be dirty within a month or two.  I was hoping to get input from anyone who might have some experience with this stroller/color.  How easy is it to clean?  If you got the Lindsey do you wish you went with another color?  We are having a girl and are open to either gender neutral or gender specific colors.  What other color should I go with?  Thanks so much!!

No experience with this particular stroller, so I'm just going off of my own stroller color dilemma I went through last year. :-) The wheat color is really pretty, but I can see how it could get dirty quickly. After a lot of back and forth, I finally went with a red umbrella stroller and teal city mini gt. Knowing that we'll hopefully have more children, we didn't want to get something gender specific. Ultimately, YOU have to like the color. If wheat if what you want, then get it. I'm sure any scuff marks that will appear can be easily wiped off with a little soap and water, then dried in the sun.

I'm sure someone who actually has the stroller will chime in, but personally I wouldn't worry too much about it. No matter what color you get, it will eventually get dirty. You just have decide how much it will bother you that it will likely be more visible on the wheat color.

  • We have the Bugaboo Bee and I bought a seat liner and footmuff in a wheat color. Wish I had gotten a darker color. They show dirt and water marks from whatever liquid has spilled out of the sippy. Even thought both pieces are easy to throw in the wash, it's easier said than done. I'd go for a darker, more practical color. You aren't going to want to wash the fabric every time something gets on it.

  • SIL looked at one in wheat from CL and said it shows every speck of dirt.
  • We actually have the wheat mesa carseat.  Haven't used it yet but there is a black newborn insert that he will sit on first and then there is an insert that we can buy after he grows out of it.  I'm mostly concerned about diaper blowouts on the beige.  They did say to spot clean it with a cloth if needed.  We also have the new UppaVista 2015 in the pascal grey.  I just picked it up last week and I absolutely love it.  The color is amazing I would highly recommend it.  We thought it was going to be a darker charcoal grey but it is actually more of a lighter heather grey.  It is a great combo of light and dark.  I also like the black frame verses the silver frame the wheat color comes on.  I would def check it out.

  • We have the vista in wheat and the Cruz in lavender. Cruz gets more use. Both look absolutely fine after 21 months of use, just minor scuffs here and there.

  • I've had that stroller in the wheat for three years now, it still looks brand new! I've washed it maybe twice- it's a great product that holds up well.
