Ouch! Stabbing pain in boob!

I'm 21+3 weeks and last few days I've been getting stabbing pains in my left boob, takes me by surprise sometimes! When I touch it it's no more tender than the other, no lumps or bumps feels normal? Sometimes the pain seems to be around my armpit too. Only thing I can think is that I've been having problems with the nerves in my shoulder due to sleeping on left side all the time and maybe it's radiating around under my arm. Going to go back to the doctor just to be safe. I know no one is a doctor but just wondering if anybody else has had this? Hope you're all feeling well ladies

I would definitely check it out with your doctor. :) I occasionally get this type of pain but I have a cyst in one breast. Sometimes I can feel the lump there (when it's full of fluid), sometimes not at all, but I do occasionally get that stabby type of pain whether the lump is there or not. I've known about it for a few years and my OB isn't concerned about it, since we did an ultrasound on it to see that it was benign. FX that it's nothing major!

  • Oh yes! Especially in my left side! Dr said it's normal, that my breasts are changing. That are a great deal bigger and very sensitive but the stabbing is no fun! My hubby just looks at me strange when I yelp and grab my boob! Hope this goes away soon for u as well as me!
  • My right nipple feels like that like its gonna crack open and milk is gonna explode out of it yikes!
  • I had this really early on, around 6 weeks. It started in the middle of the night and was so bad it would wake me up. It lasted all day and we were on a 5 hour flight that day so I couldn't even try and massage the pain away. I still get it randomly but luckily it only lasts for a few minutes at a time.
  • I had this happen a couple of times around 17 weeks. I just chalked it up to growth and haven't had it happen for over a week now.
  • Mine (the left one as well) was doing that yesterday.

I was trying not to clutch my boob in the middle of Walmart.
  • I'm sure it's completely normal, although cysts do run in my family! Can't feel anything at all though and no area is particularly sensitive, all a bit itchy too. Thinking it's all down to growth/milk and then a bit of the shoulder problems mixed in! Thanks ladies, I'm still going to go to the doctor as will feel better once he's had a feel haha x
  • I have this off and on..your breasts are preparing for all the milk that is coming, it's a painful process lol.
  • I'm 19+2 and I now get burning sensation in my left nipple to the point I have to take my bra off
