Almost 4 y/o & 3 wk old newborn

so I came home from the hospital and within the week I was sick. I had a terrible cold which lasted atleast a week and a half and which I most likely got from my older daughter. My older daughter attends daycare/preschool 3 days a week and she tends to catch everything and bring it home. I very often get it from her. Luckily with my bad cold the baby did not get it but now my daughter seems to be coming down with another sickness....how do I protect the baby from getting it while still being able to cuddle and comfort my older daughter? Plus I'm afraid I will be sick again as well. I am breastfeeding which I know should help protect the baby but my milk supply decreased from being sick before so I'm afraid if I get sick yet again it's going to have an even worse effect on my milk. Anyone have any suggestions for keeping myself and baby well?

    Good hand hygiene....that's about it. DD2 was sick within the first couple of weeks of her life thanks to big sis. It's the reality of having 2 unfortunately. In a way it is was better for me to get sick before DD2 because then I would build up antibodies that would then be passed on to DD2 in my breast milk to protect her. They will both be sick a lot for the first few years, but they will be fine. Try not to stress.
