3.5 weeks old and he's already congested! It seems to be mostly "dry" congestion.. the nasal saline bulb pulls nothing out!
DH is bought us a vaporizer and saline drops to try this evening, but do you have any other suggestions?
We've had quite a few visitors (I feel like a crappy mom for allowing it now) but everyone's washed their hands, no one has seemed sick etc.
I just want to be proactive and avoid RSV!! Any suggestions are appreciated.
Re: 3 week old w/ congestion
1. it is normal
2. do not suction without using saline.... it can cause more inflamation and make it worse. Only suction 2-3 times a day.
I switched from the bulb syringe to the Nosefrida and I get tons of mucus and boogers out i wasn't getting before and it is way easier to clean! It is kind of gross at first but now i have no problem doing it as it works so much better!
