AW: Introducing Baby Will!

I got to hold him today! He's doing really well. He's on CPAP, but breathing on his own. He just barely opened his eyes today and he held my finger in his tiny little hand! Still not sure how long he'll be in the NICU, but they seem to think he's in really good shape.

I'm in quite a bit of pain from the incision, but last night, when they made me get up and walk around, I was able to power through it. Not looking forward to tonight, when there will be more of that, but my OB said I might be able to go home tomorrow, so we'll see what kind of progress I make. It will, of course, be tough leaving Will here.

Congratulations!! He looks great! My DS1 was a 31 weeker so I know exactly what it feels like to leave the hospital without your baby. Take comfort in knowing that he is in good hand. The NICU can be a roller coaster of emotions but enjoy every moment that you have with him and he will be home soon! (And then you will blink and he will be 4 years old yelling at you because you cut his hot dog wrong
