Ditto to this. Sadly I am one of those "must color every 8 weeks" due to gray hair already. I wouldn't get highlights or anything with bleach personally but root touch up/all over color is fine in my book.AnnikaD20 said:Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But I've seen advice to avoid it during 1st tri.
To use caffeine as an example, scientific studies haven't been able to show any negative effects for less than 500mg a day. So anything under 500mg should be fine. But most people say to keep it under 200mg to be safer. Some people shoot for 100mg, and some people cut caffeine altogether.
I think in general our culture is way too conservative with pregnancy rules. But at the end of the day, you get to decide your own tolerance for risk.
Re: Hair colouring-is it safe in 1st trimester?
I personally am planning on continuing to dye my hair as I like.
I have a few greys too which I want to cover, so I think I'm gonna stick with my appointment.
I guess we are all just so conscious of everything when it's still early days!!! But I don't think I can go all that time without my roots being done
