help!! EBF 10 wk old

How much time does your lo spend on a side when nursing? Around what age did they start to become a more efficient eater? I understand about letting them eat til their full but around how much time does it take for them to get there.
I used to nurse for about 40 min (20 a side) but recently that seems like its too long for my lo. He has a touch of reflux, likes to spit up a lot and to top it off doesn't know when to stop eating. Even in nursing he will just suck until he falls alseep and let the milk pool in his mouth or spit it all up

    Same as PP. At 10 weeks, my LO was averaging 5-8 minutes per side. She started nursing for that time around 7 or 8 weeks if I remember correctly.

    My LO is 12 weeks and now is done after nursing on one side for about 10min. Also I find he only spits up if he eats to much. So once he stops sucking he is done.
    Married 2009.

    My 5 week old just started to take less time to nurse, use to be 15-20 min per side and now takes 10-15 min total.  I don't know what's up with that but he drinks till milk pours out also or starts to fuss like crazy and is like "get that boob away from me, I'm done."

    Do you stop and burp and between sides? That might help your LO get a chance to feel full before eating more.
