1st fertility consult

*** Sorry this is a repost l didnt realize I was in a different message board. Yay mobile app.***

I am going to my first fertility consult on the 20th. I'm really anxious. I feel like I can't even think reasonably. I would love suggests for questions to ask or just share your stories for your first visit. Thanks for helping me get through these days.

    You'll have bloodwork and a transvaginal ultrasound. Then you'll probably hear about all the tests you'll have to do before they have a plan of action. Good luck!

    Me (28)- PCOS, no natural cycle since stopping BC pills in 2013
    DH (29)- SA= all good
    Married since March 2013 (together since 2004) + TTC since April 2013

    Provera 12/13, 6/14, 8/14, 10/ 14, 12/14

    Clomid 50 mg 12/14- no follicles big enough, stair stepped with Clomid 100 mg (1 follicle 22/25 mm) + Ovidrel trigger shot 1/15- BFN

    Clomid 150 mg 1/15- no follicles responding- repeated 150 mg + Ovidrel trigger shot + IUI- BFP

    Just like OP said and just keep calm and ask all the questions you have, even if you think it's a dumb one. Also, I don't know your situation but my husband had his SA an hour before our appointment and our RE was able to give us even better answers. Goodluck! :)

    Hi!! Remain positive!! After our first appointment, my husband and I left with our heads spinning. It's a lot of information and the process seems so overwhelming. We decided not look ahead - to take things step by step and focus on each step. And to remain positive. That's how we got through. We are at the tail end of our first cycle and we had a few setbacks but now have 3 mature eggs that were successfully fertilized today. Good luck!!
