Hey ladies! I'm expecting LO#2 but DS is 5 years old so his baby monitor has long since bit the dust. the kind we had is not even sold anywhere anymore. I don't necessarily need a video monitor, I just want something that is reliable, has good battery life and any other features you think are cool. Tell me about your baby monitor that you love! TIA
Our Samsung works well. We have had no problems with it working perfectly from the start. We originally had a Summer Infant one and it was horrible. It was not user friendly and could not get the wifi to work with it. Customer service was awful.
We have this one. We didn't feel the need to have a video one and this one works great - and it's highest setting is LOUD so you're definitely not going to miss anything. My only complaint is that it doesn't hold a charge more than 5-6 hours at a time, so it needs to be plugged in overnight - but whatever - it was $40. I wasn't expecting the Cadillac of baby monitors, lol.
We wanted a video monitor but didn't want to spend a fortune. We got the Levana Astra and have been very happy with it, been using it from 6 weeks old to now 21 weeks old. The only complaint I have is that at my house I do not get reception if I take it outside the house, inside isn't an issue and I love being able to see her.
We also have a vtech safe and sound audio monitor DM221, same as mentioned above, at my work and the few times I've used it I liked it too. The reception is great and allows me to do some things outside while listening for the baby which was more important to me than being able to see her.
We bought the Angelcare movement monitor. I originally wanted a video monitor, but decided on this one, because it monitors the baby's breathing (I was really scared about SIDS). It has a couple sensors that goes under the mattress & sounds an alarm if it doesn't detect movement after so many seconds. I have had a few false alarms, but a couple of times that it went off I really believe my baby stopped breathing & the monitor startled him so that he started breathing again. It also displays the room temperature & is a sound monitor.
Re: Tell me about your baby monitor, please!
