We just had our 12 week appointment and got to hear the heartbeat, 164 BPM! Yesterday we got the results back from our verif test and found out the gender, we are having a healthy baby girl!
you are so lucky....the anticipation is making me crazy. I just want to pick out a name and nursery color LoL. My doctor said he will NOT tell us until week 20! Congrats!!!! Enjoy all the pinks and purples!
I love it! Congratulations! I am a little jealous you get to start your shopping now because i cant wait to find out i may go insane on the nursery right away lol!! So soooo happy for you!
That is such great news! Congrats! The anticipation is killing me to find out! I am also curious about the verif test. Can anyone have this done to find out the gender earlier? Happy shopping!!
Congratulations! My MIL is having a girl. She's due next month. More than half my wait is over, we find out after our anatomy scan (if baby cooperates) at nineteen weeks. Only seven and a half more weeks!
Thank you ladies, we're both very happy! No names yet, but there's plenty of time for that which I guess can be a blessing and a curse! The verifi test was $25 out of pocket for us after insurance. We had the test done on 2/6 and found out 2/16. So right on with the timeframe verifi gave us at 5-7 business days.
We did the Verify test as well. Took the test at 10 weeks and got the results 9 days (6 biz days) later and found out gender as well. It should be an option shared at all doctors. If it's not, you can definitely ask about it. Gender detection is over 99.9% accurate with it!
@bethb51885 it is one one a few genetic tests that are performed on mamas of advanced maternal age (will deliver at 35 or older). It is noninvasive unlike an amniocentesis so it is much safer. If you are considered AMA it can be covered by insurance but if you are younger I don't know that you are eligible for the test, as it stands now. Well, maybe if you pay retail, you'd have to ask your doctor.
