To the moms-to-be with cerclages in place, have any of you ever had one removed before 37 weeks? I know that is typically when they will do it, between 37 and 38, but due to DD being super low and engaged, and the amount of contractions Ive been having, my doctor is removing the cerclage at 36 weeks and 3 days. Im not overly concerned about it, as I do not think it will put me into labor immediately, but was just curious if others have done this for the same reason, or others. If so, how many of you have indeed gone into labor a short time after the removal? TIA!
Re: Early Removal of Cerclage
If you are comfortable with your doc don't panic and trust he or she is doing best for you and baby. Removal doesn't necessarily mean immediate labor but sometimes it's smarter to take precautions.
