Kind of frustrated

is anyone else frustrated with the lack of life on this board ? I feel like it's the same stupid baby name posts the same stupid placenta questions/medical questions the same posts over and over and over! Anyone else that's been on this board since they found out they were pregnant 5 6 7 months ago feel like this place is dead? I loved reading all the different posts before but now I see the same damn thing over and over its sooo boring this is supposed to be my fun baby go to place. Anyone else ???

I haven't been apart of the board since the start of my pregnancy but once I discovered the board about two months ago it wasn't nearly as bad as it is now..

I was hoping everyone would stick around or at least the board would go back to how it was before but no luck so far...

I agree mostly, but I think part of it might be just that this part of pregnancy isn't that exciting! The initial rush of emotions and the excitement of having such a crazy secret are gone, but the birth still seems so far away . . . I don't know, I commented in the symptoms thread that maybe we should do more GTKY threads and not necessarily have them always related to pregnancy. Maybe that will help? I just haven't thought of anything interesting to ask people about yet!

I think there's stages in pregnancy and right now it's kind of a "slow" time. And I also feel that each stage gets bombarded with the same questions. Next month it's going to be 3 different questions getting asked over and over again.

Like others are saying, I think it's really about the novelty of pregnancy wearing off, yet the big event still months away. I mean, how many things can we talk about related to pregnancy that hasn't already been blasted all over the place and yet is still interesting??? The reason the same types of posts keep recycling is because, well, we don't have all that many new things going on. My guess is that some people are hesitant to write much-- fear of breaking TOUs, pissing people off, writing the same "boring" posts, whatever... Guess we need some controversy or drama.

I think that what is boring to me is that no one posts because of thinking they will say the wrong thing.. We can't post the same thing or we'll be directed to a different post so there are hardly any new posts. If we actually post stuff maybe then something interesting can happen.. The whole thing is boring if all that is ever said is look back at this post from 2 months ago.. or even 2 weeks ago. Is it that hard to answer the questions that are posted.. or even provide some snark if they are stupid questions.. but the sending them to a different post is pointless in my opinion.. it makes the whole board boring.

I agree to a point, but some of the older posts have REALLY helpful information that may not be repeated in the new post - especially if it's a repeat of a recent post and those of us who have answered already don't feel like rehashing everything they've said. I'm all about helping people when I can, but I'm not into repeating myself 10 times. So directing people to an older post is often me genuinely trying to be helpful - and I know a lot of other people are the same way.

I get that and it makes sense to an extent but at the same time I do think the more people are sent to old posts the less people make new posts and we have a very boring board..

Any chance we could do a daily randoms thread? Or like someone else mentioned daily Get to Know You threads? I think that may open people up a bit and get the board moving.

Totally agreed. The Speshul sneuxflaykes wanted all the "meanies" gone and since that included all the regular, high traffic posters, it has been crickets here since. They basically sucked the lifeblood and community out of June 2015 (are there a select few left? Yes - but apparently not enough to constitute the necessary critical mass).

Also, why the hell is my avatar stuck in random Bumpie mode?! I feel naked without my heart lights - people must think I'm some random newbie!

Yup. I miss the fighting. It was entertaining. My last birth month was always a thrill... You never knew who CV was going to pounce on. So so bored!!!
